Caring House Women's Shelter

Mission

Caring House (CHWS) stives to provide mentoring, guidance and connection to programs and services that help women and their families achieve economic self-sufficiency. The CHWS walks with the client through their journey to self-sufficiency and doesn’t just connect and then leave her. We guide her through the process, helping to navigate the “red tape” or the barriers that may be in her way in order for her achieve success.

Profile

  • Since opening our doors in June of 2021, the CHWS has received 300 referrals and has provided either direct financial assistance or connection services to other nonprofit organizations in order to meet the needs of 150 women.
  • Each year we provide budgeting assistance and life skills training to more than 60% of the referrals coming through our doors.
  • We strive to meet our mission statement each year by diligently working with our clients to determine their needs and helping them to reach their goals.
